Infertility: I started seeing Bonnie about 2 years ago after trying unsuccessfully to have a baby for close to 3 years prior. Before going to Bonnie I was told by several doctors that I had no real chance of ever conceiving due to autoimmune issues, endometriosis, poor egg quality and circulatory issues. Bonnie gave me hope and together we tackled each issue individually and concentrated on getting me healthy not just reproductively but whole body health. Within a few months my luteal phase was normalizing and my cycles were less painful and more normal. You can imagine my surprise when after 3 yrs and several failed IVFs, I became pregnant on my next IVF cycle. Though unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, we had done what I was told I would probably never do..GET PREGNANT!

After helping me to recover and get my body rebalanced we were ready to try again. Once again I became pregnant. However, early on we had some problems. At a routine visit we were told the baby’s heart beat was not progressing as it should. We were finally told that we were probably losing the baby and that the heartbeat would stop in a day or so. We were told to come back for one more final visit in a week to confirm the baby’s heartbeat had stopped. Bonnie had advised me not to completely give up hope and let me know some things we could do. To not only our amazement, but the doctors’, at the next week’s visit the baby’s heartbeat was normal. As our usually stoic, detached, fertility doctor dried his eyes, he told us he was not sure why the baby stabilized or where the pregnancy was going to go from here. Once again, Bonnie advised us to take one step and day at a time. We continued to work on my circulation and treat for healthy pregnancy. However, even after our initial problems were solved, we still had other issues to deal with. Ultimately we were told due to some pregnancy complications our baby would be born between 24-28 weeks and be very underweight. We continued with Bonnie once a week working on all our issues. Once again, to the amazement of our doctors, our baby continued to defy predictions and prior research and thrive. In January we were thrilled to welcome a completely healthy, normal baby who was born at 39 weeks. Doctors informed us that they have no medical explanation to why our baby continued to thrive when all medical reasoning indicated there would be problems. Bonnie not only helped to keep my body balanced and working to the best of its ability to protect and nurture my child, but she was a constant shoulder to lean on during a very difficult time. She goes above and beyond for all of her patients. Whether it is constantly researching and updating herself and her patients on better ways to treat their complaints and ailments, or just giving us a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to. She treats each patient like they are her only patient and we are all old friends to whom she wants to help.

Infertility: Since I turned 40 last year, I started to see Bonnie in January 2006 for a hypothyroid condition.  As my treatments progressed, I discussed with Bonnie the problems I had with my menstrual cycle and the difficulty I had getting pregnant.  Bonnie started to treat me for infertility.  The results of Bonnie's treatment were significant.  Before I started seeing Bonnie, I was plagued with painful periods every month that were heavy and irregular.  Within a few months, my menstrual period became a regular 5 day cycle with minimal cramping and no blood clots.

While I was being treated by Bonnie, I was also seeing an infertility doctor. I started an  in vitro fertilization cycle in April which  was canceled due to the lack of response to the medication I was taking.  I was told I would have less than a 1% chance of getting pregnant if I pursued another in vitro cycle.  As a last ditch effort, I decided to try an insemination procedure.  Miraculously, I got pregnant on the first try and I now have a beautiful baby girl.  Before and after the insemination was completed, I went to see Bonnie for treatments to help with the insemination and the implantation of the fertilized egg.  I am convinced Bonnie’s treatments enabled me to get pregnant so early during my infertility treatments.  I was also blessed with a relatively easy pregnancy.  I am also quite overweight which also was not in my favor.  I highly recommend Bonnie Ceres as an acupuncturist.  She was extremely supportive during such a stressful time in my life.  I am convinced acupuncture has improved my overall health tremendously.

Colitis & Shoulder Pain: I have suffered from ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome for 20 years. It got so bad that it was hard to leave the house. My active lifestyle was severely affected and I worried about the future of my career. I had seen plenty of gastroenterologists who prescribed all kinds of drugs, including steroids, with limited, temporary success.
